PRODUCTION NOTES: Basically layered 10 different sounds from saws to FM plucks to Sylenth tweaks into a compresser to get the bass sound I wanted. The pads and keys are all Sylenth or Vanguard.

If any of you are playing "Stereo Love" or "That's My Name" then you already know those two songs are pretty much clones of each other. That being said, they're so similar that after a few weeks of playing them apart from each other and having people come up who weren't hip to one or the other and ask why I played the same song twice, I decided to throw the two in my Ableton blender and mash the two together so I could please the people who like both songs without playing them at different times...

Skrpt - Brk Evn [Strobonic (Strobe & Bonics) mix]

Pardon the cryptic names but I'm trying to promote records not get my blog taken down...

This is the first record as STROBONIC, the production collaboration between myself and Bonics. I took the original from 99BPM up to 125, gave it a progressive feel while keeping the emotion and feel of the original intact. I kept the original guitars and added strings and piano in addition to the other parts I added.

PRODUCTION NOTES// Like most of my "live" bass parts, the bass was done with Spectrasonics Trilogy run through tube saturation and Waves RBass and RComp. I used a few elements from the original like the brass swell and guitar stab. The Rhodes part was played on a friends Rhodes and I picked the best performance and used it and ran it and the wah guitar parts through a bit-crusher to give it a retro feel. Listening now, there are some things I would have added but sometimes you have to say enough...
